This was a great read. Lots of places in and around the park are named for people as you would expect. When that's the case you learn about the person. Equally interesting are the things you would not have guessed the origin of the name or when there are different stories. I am definitely bringing this book the next time I come to Big Bend to remind myself the histories of the places and things I'll see.
